During my field research in rural China, I encountered traditional patchwork technique created by women who transformed fragments of worn textiles into new objects. In the making, these women use simple artistic style, bright colors, imaginative expressions to communicate their authentic emotions from organic lifestyle, passion, and good wishes for life. Each patch carries memory, care, and generations of love and making. Inspired by this tradition, I invite these techniques into a contemporary dialogue with luxury objects, where repair becomes not only preservation, but the new cultural living expression.
