Reimagined Vintage Gucci Jackie Bag
'A small imperfection became the beginning of a landscape’.
The original Gucci bag arrived with several holes on the back panel. Instead of simply covering the damaged areas with isolated repairs, I choose to rethink the entire surface. A hand-embroidered floral composition was developed to grow organically across the well-loved canvas.
The flowers were never intended as decoration. They grew from damaged areas, turning a necessary repair into art practice.

Transformed Vintage Gucci Bamboo Bag
‘Returning to her cultural roots’.
The Gucci Bamboo is one of the house’s most iconic designs - then known only by its product number, 0633. This bamboo handle has long evoked a quiet dialogue with East Asian aesthetics. When I saw this vintage Gucci Bamboo bag, I felt the original plain black canvas was waiting for a new story to continue.
I selected an antique embroidered textile depicting a traditional garden landscape that I found in Paris, the carefully cut and hand-stitched each section to follow the silhouette of the bag.

Transformed Hermès Herbag Zip 31 Bag
‘When the original surface reached the end of its life, a new one begin’.
Originally created as a practical companion, but her canvas body often tells the story of everyday use. Exposure to rain, natural oils from the hands, sunlight, and time can leave permanent marks on the fabric. As the canvas ages, it may also soften, distort, or shrink slightly after cleaning treatment.
A color-matching selected embroidered lace textile was carefully reconstructed into a new panel, preserving the iconic leather architecture while giving the bag an entirely new personality - the sequins and stitched florals all bring warmth to her original clean architectural form.

Reimagined Vintage Hermès Herbag Cabas Tote Bag
'The cleaner the structure, the more vibrant the flowers become’.
The original canvas had gradually developed permanent yellowing, a common characteristic of light canvas after years of use. For this vintage Hermès, I picked a dreamy sequin floral textile and apply it carefully stitch by stitch. What drew me to this transformation was the tension between two opposing languages. The original Hermès silhouette is structured and almost architectural, but the flowers are unapologetically romantic.
The romance exists because the structure holds it.

Reimagined Vintage Rare Gucci Jackie Bag
'The original canvas offered a quiet foundation. I saw the potential for her to bloom’.
The first thing that caught my attention was the ostrich leather. Rare, rich, and beautifully textured. But the clean canvas body was such a quiet companion to the leather. I started to imagine this Jackie in full bloom. Layer by layer, amber-toned flowers were hand applied across the surface, I was excited to reveal a version of her that hadn’t been imagined yet.
Inspired by 昙花 - the Queen of the Night that blooms for a moment in the dark, and is gone by dawn. Some beauty is not meant to last forever. It is meant to be witnessed when it blooms, only once.

Reimagined Hermès Garden Party
'When the canvas could no longer return, it learned to become something else’.
This Hermès Garden Party bag arrived with intensive loved marks. Over time, the original canvas had shrunk, developed permanent staining, and lost the crisp tension that once defined the silhouette. It had reached a point where conventional cleaning or spot repair could no longer restore its appearance.
A new full-scale embroidered skin is carefully integrated across the damaged canvas, transforming irreversible wear into a new material expression.
