living traditions
Some traditions deserve another chapter, too. Through collaborations with regional artisans, I explore how techniques passed down through generations can find new living expression in contemporary objects. Each object is an ongoing, one-of-a-kind creation and conversation between cultural heritage, repair, reimagining, memory, and every life. For me, restoration is not only about repairing what has been damaged. It is also about carrying cultural memories forward by allowing rational artistic languages to evolve and find new life in unexpected places.
